word press again

I’m writing a new website. It feels tenuous, not quite real, as if I’m building a house of cards.
Well, they say that it’s easier to edit than it is to write from scratch, but nigh on 30 years of artist statements means that I’ve 90 million variations of those first few sentences in my mind.
90 million times I’ve written ” Christine is a full time artist, living on the north coast of NSW…”
Elipses you are my friend: your three small dots stop me repeating myself, over and over. You give memory a place to fill in the gaps.
Thirty years of editing a story as I’m living it.
How very self-referentially we live these days.
How very precarious our dependence on the invisible tools of this impossibly invisible website world.
