Exhibition date claimer: 25 February 2017

It’s official ! ‘SHADOWING TOM’ – the body of work about the shed at “Newstead” where Tom Roberts painted ‘The Golden Fleece’ is to be exhibited at the Inverell Art Gallery February 2017. Opening function Saturday 25th February with drinks at 5pm , official opening at 6. All welcome. The exhibition will continue until March 25 – open during normal gallery hours. The exhibition is called ‘Shadowing Tom’ and is not only about how the old shed at “Newstead” looks now, but describes the impact on this artist following in the footsteps of such an important Australian historical figure.

STOP PRESS News just to hand is that the Opera In the Paddock will be held in Inverell the closing weekend of Christine’s exhibition. There may be a function on the Friday night as part of the Opera weekend (watch this space), and the gallery will be open on Sunday as well. So the last day to see this show will be Sunday 26th March.
